Jessica Jones |
Jessica cannot remember a time in her life that did not involve dance. She studied classical ballet for 13 years in SC and GA, spending most of her time in the studio surrounded by all things dance. She is happy to combine her two passions of dance and child care into Dance Moves classes and is thrilled by the opportunity to pass her love of the art on to young students. |

Carrie Simpson |
Carrie Simpson began dancing at an early age, and continued that study through high school at Northwestern Studio, in Boone, North Carolina. Since then, she followed a path through the dance world at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, studying both time-honored and ground-breaking dance techniques. While at UNCG, she pursued choreographic, teaching, and performance opportunities. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance, and is thrilled to join Dance Moves! |

Margaret Caswell |
Margaret has been dancing since she was four years old. She has trained extensively in ballet and modern and has also studied jazz, tap, and character/folk dancing. While in high school in Raleigh, NC, Margaret started a teaching apprenticeship at her local studio where she was a teacher’s assistant and eventually began teaching children’s classes on her own. While earning her B.A. in Dance from Columbia College, Margaret was able to gain more teaching experience by teaching summer camps and classes and her studio in North Carolina and teaching PEHP Ballet- a beginning ballet course for dancers and non-dancers alike. After graduation in 2009, Margaret moved to Charleston where she teaches at Planet Dance. She is excited to be joining Dance Moves this season. |

Amanda Brown |
Amanda Brown has been involved in the dance world for over 20 years, both as a student and a teacher. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and pointe at her home studio in Paola, Kansas. Amanda earned a degree in elementary education from the University of Kansas in 2008 and has spent the past two years teaching academic preschool, as well as teaching preschool and elementary classes at The Turning Pointe Dance Company in Shawnee, Kansas. Amanda is happy to have found a new home in Charleston and is very excited to be a part of the Dance Moves program. |

Melissa Britt |
Melissa Britt has been dancing for over 20 years. She has been trained in a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, pointe, hip-hop, lyrical, clogging and muscial theatre/large production.
Throughout grade school and high school Melissa enjoyed competitive
dance and teaching with Amy?s Academy of Dance Arts in Chadbourn, NC.
Melissa graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC with a Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy where she was a member of the East Carolina University Dance Team. In her free time she also enjoys attending hip-hop classes on Daniel Island and Mount Pleasant, SC.

Erica Scheldt |
Erica began her dance training at the age of 4 in Gallatin, TN. She has intensively studied ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. While attending the College of Charleston, she was a member of the Robert Ivey Ballet Company. Recently graduating with a B.S. in Psychology and Dance Minor from the College of Charleston, Erica is continuing her education by pursuing her Masters in Social Work at the University of South Carolina. This is Erica\'s first season with Dance Moves. |

Leslie Abbot |
Leslie Abbott has been dancing for over 20 years. She has been trained in a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, pointe, hip-hop, lyrical, and contemporary. Throughout high school Leslie competed nationally, receiving numerous awards for her tap, jazz, and modern performances in addition to receiving a young choreographer award for her tap choreography. Leslie graduated from Boston College (BC) with B.A. in communication and a concentration in Theatre Arts. . In addition to continuing her technical training, Leslie has been teaching dance for the past 10 years to children and adults of all ages.
