We are a non-competitive studio focusing on pre-professional training. We take pride in seeing our dancers grow as artists who will pursue careers in dance, go to college for dance, or take dance for recreation.
We want your dancer to LOVE the way they feel when they are dancing. We promote positive body image and feel strongly that there is not a "body type" for dance.
We work hard to promote and teach positive lessons that help your dancer feel confident in and out of the studio while receiving professional instruction on the techniques of many dance genres.
We are grateful for our students, and our staff is dedicated to providing a nurturing, educational atmosphere.
Here at Dance Moves of Charleston we believe in supporting all of our dancers and their families no matter their personal background. We will actively play our part in the fight for anti-racism, and strive to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone that walks through our door. As Martha Graham stated, "dance is the hidden language of the soul," and all souls are free to speak here.
