Recital Fees & Policies

2022

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • The 2022 Dance Moves Recitals Shows are scheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center (5001 Coliseum Dr, North Charleston 29418). Specific showtimes and details for each class will be announced in the Spring semester.

  • Dress Rehearsals will take place at the James Island Studio (349 Folly Rd) the week of June 6. Dress Rehearsal day & time for each class will be announced in the Spring semester. Dress Rehearsals are NOT the same day or time as your regular dance class.

 

Confirm your dancer's recital participation by completing the "Recital Participation & Fees Form" and making your recital fee payment by January 30, 2022. Read all policies to the bottom of this page.

Explanation of Single Class Recital Fee: Due 1/30/22 - read all policies below.

  • Single Class Recital Fees vary by class type:

    • $175 Recital Fee for dancers enrolled in Preschool Dance, Dance & Tumbling, Ballet/Tap Combo, Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo, Little Kid Hip Hop ($160 if paid on or before 12/15/21).

    • $200 Recital Fee for dancers enrolled in Level I, II, III, IV, V, and Hip Hop classes ($185 if paid on or before 12/15/21).

  • The Single Class Recital Fees listed above are for dancers participating in the recital with ONE class.

  • Each dancer's Single Class Recital Fee includes 1 costume, 2 complimentary tickets to the show in which your dancer is assigned, and a participation award. This fee also helps cover theater rental and staffing costs for the dress rehearsal week and recital show day.

  • Each individual dancer wishing to participate in the 2022 Recital must pay their Single Class Recital Fee by January 30, 2022.

  • No recital responses will be collected after January 30, 2022. Click the link above for Recital Participation & Fees Form and complete it NOW!

  • Discounts do not apply to any recital fees.

MULTI-CLASS DANCERS - read all policies below.

  • Individual dancers that take two or more classes per week AND wish to participate in the recital with two or more classes are considered "MULTI-CLASS DANCERS."

  • Multi-class dancers pay ONE Single Class Recital Fee PLUS any Additional Costume Fee(s) for their additional classes.

  • Additional Costume Fees can be paid along with the initial recital fee OR they can be paid by January 30, 2022.​ Choose your additional costume fee(s) payment dates when completing the Recital Participation & Fees Form linked above.
  • Additional Costume Fees vary by class type:
    • $60 per additional costume for dancers enrolled in ​Preschool Dance, Dance & Tumbling, Ballet/Tap Combo, Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo, Little Kid Hip Hop.
    • $80 per additional costume for dancers enrolled in Level I, II, III, IV, V, and Hip Hop classes

2022 Recital POLICIES:

  • Each dancer's Single Class Recital Fee (varies based on the class type and when the fee is paid) must be paid by January 30, 2022. Each individual dancer's Single Class Recital Fee includes:

    • 1 costume

    • 2 complimentary tickets per show in which your dancer is performing. Showtimes for each class will be announced in the Spring Semester.

    • 1 participation award per dancer.

    • Venue and/or equipment rental and staffing costs.

  • Fees increase by $15 for dancers that complete the Recital Participation & Fee Form after December 15, 2021. No recital responses will be collected after January 30, 2022.

  • A $15 processing fee will be charged to any dancer that switches classes after December 15, 2021 OR if a dancer requires any additional or expedited shipping costs for costume switching or exchanges after December 15, 2021.

  •  A costume will not be ordered for dancers that have not paid their recital fee and they will be unable to participate in the recital.

  • Dancers wishing to participate in more than one class must pay their Additional Costume Fee(s) by January 30, 2022. If an additional costume fee is not paid by January 30, 2022 the additional costume(s) will not be ordered for your dancer and they will be unable to participate in the recital with any class(es) in which they do NOT have a costume.

  • On or before December 14, 2021 an account credit no more than $30 may be applied for dancers who no longer wish to participate in the recital. A costume will NOT be ordered for dancers that cancel their recital participation on or before December 14, 2021.

  • As of December 15, 2021 all recital-related fees are nonrefundable and cannot be used as an account credit.

  • No refunds or credits will be issued for any Single Class Recital Fees or Additional Costume Fees on or after December 15, 2021. This includes dancers that complete the Recital Participation & Fee Form or confirm their recital participation after December 15, 2021.

  • NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS FOR ANY FEES are available on or after the fee due date. No exceptions. This includes inclement weather, government shutdowns, recital format or venue changes, schedule changes, family preferences or plan changes, etc.

  • Discounts do not apply to any Single Class Recital Fees or Additional Costume Fees.

Masks:

Though we can’t know what the mask policy will be for the PAC in June of 2022, we do know that the venue will follow City and DHEC guidelines at that time, and our staff, dancers, and audience members will comply with those guidelines.

Tickets:

Ticketing information, including how to claim your 2 complimentary tickets and purchase additional tickets, will be emailed to families in the Spring semester.
