2024-25 Season: A Non-Refundable Registration Fee of $35 Per Child ($30 second child, $25 third) is Added to Your First Month’s Tuition.

Classes are designed for dancers ages two and older.

All dancers should be fully potty trained.

In our 20 years of experience, we’ve learned that kids feel more confident and participate more when parents are not in the room. Fewer distractions mean greater focus and fun for everyone!
Opportunities to see your dancer(s) in action include Parent Observation week in December and our annual Recitals in June.

In general, dancers should wear comfortable clothes that they can move, for example a leotard and skirt, leggings, or shorts. Tights are not recommended.
Clothes policies may vary from school to school. Please contact your school or a member of our team if you have questions.

Dancers in our Traveling Program may wear comfortable clothes they can move in or a leotard and skirt, leggings, or shorts. Tights are not recommended for our Traveling classes. Dance shoes are required and can be purchased through our online store.
Dance shoe sizing can be tricky! Contact our Traveling Program Coordinator to have your dancer sized for shoes before purchasing: Emily@DanceMovesofCharleston.com
— Preschool Dance and Dance & Tumbling: BALLET SHOES (pink or skin-toned)
— Ballet Tap Combo: BLACK TAP SHOES are needed for this class. Ballet shoes (pink or skin-toned) are recommended but not required.

— Jazz/Hip Hop: BLACK JAZZ SHOES

Classes meet once per week. Our 2022-23 season classes run from Monday, August 29, 2022, to Saturday, May 27, 2023. However, your specific school might follow a slightly different schedule. We do our best to communicate important dates and closings via email. If you have questions please reach out to us!
Summer Classes run for 8-week sessions from mid-June through mid-August.

Our 2023-24 season runs August 28, 2023 - May 25, 2024. However, class start and end dates vary by school. Contact our Traveling Program Manager to learn more: Emily@DanceMovesofCharleston.com
Dance Moves is closed and does not offer classes on the following dates (2023-24 season):
Labor Day: September 4, 2023
Thanksgiving Break: November 22 - November 25, 2023
Winter Break: December 18, 2023 - January 1, 2024
Spring Break: April 1 - April 6, 2024
Memorial Day: May 27, 2024
Independence Day: July 4, 2024

Dancers are allowed to schedule up to 2 makeup classes per semester at our studio location. We do not schedule or offer makeup classes for school closings that are last-minute, not communicated to our office in advance, weather-related, etc. Please visit our Parent Portal for more information regarding our policies.
